Biba is a Spanish leather bag label from just outside Barcelona, and most of what we picked from them this autumn is woven. Chunky braided cowhide, soft shapes and leather tassels, in black, brown, tan, burgundy and a deep indigo blue. These are bags that look better the more you carry them.
The Perkins is the heart of the collection: braided leather in three sizes. There is a small flat crossbody with a knotted strap, a long baguette that sits under the arm, and a big zip-top shopper that will swallow a day out.
The Elk is a soft crescent crossbody, braided across the front and smooth at the back with a zip pocket for your phone. We have it in black, tan, dark brown and a rich burgundy that looks lovely against a navy or charcoal coat.
For something plainer there is the Hatch, a small flap crossbody in smooth leather with the Biba name stamped on the front, divided inside so your phone, cards and keys each have a place.
