Blundstone

John Blundstone started importing footwear into Hobart, Tasmania in 1870, and the laceless, elastic-sided boot his company eventually settled on has barely changed shape since. We stock Blundstone at Shirley Allum in Shaftesbury, in the brand's signature ankle boots.

The pull-on design is the whole appeal: no laces, no fuss, on and off in seconds, with a sole built to actually handle mud and wet ground rather than just look like it can.

It is still a Tasmanian company at heart, well over 150 years on from John and Eliza Blundstone's arrival from Derbyshire, even with manufacturing now based overseas.

A pair of Blundstones works as hard on a farm as it does on a Saturday, which is exactly why they've stuck around this long.

Find your size at the Shaftesbury boutique, or shop Blundstone online.
