Nightclub owner Niels Martinsen and his girlfriend Kirsten Teisner launched InWear in Copenhagen in 1969, and the label became one of the brands that put Scandinavian fashion on the map decades before it was fashionable to say so. It remains part of the wider Danish fashion group behind Matinique and Part Two, still designed with that original Copenhagen sensibility.
